Why do you blog ???

I will be going away for a week on company business so this will be my last post for a week or so.

I will still be checking my Entrecard daily and reciprocating as i always do.
In my absence i am interested to find out how many of you are blogging for the money and how many for enjoyment. If you blog for money, Do you get paid through sponsored post or just through running advertising on your website?

How much time per day or week do you give to your website?

As for me, I do this for the enjoyment and meeting new people, Ive met alot of people from around the world that are so helpful and extremely friendly.

Ive also had the pleasure to have some comments that show that some people don't read posts fully and jump to the wrong conclusions. I hope the Idiot that left me a stupid comment a few days ago on my McLaren MP4-23 VS Ferrari F2008 post back in early January reads this, (what a Muppet) These people always want to remain anonymous for some reason.

The only money i make from blogging is through advertising (Project wonderful etc) and i still enjoy it. I generally spend approximately 4-6 hours per day on or promoting my website.

What about you?

I blog for enjoyment and to meet people--like you. ;-) I'll have that guest post to you sometime Monday (my time). Sorry for the delay...

Have an awesome week!

I totally do it for fun. After a few people actually started reading, it became a lot more fun.

I have a couple adsense ads up but it makes next to nothing (and I really don't expect it to). I consider comments my main reward. :)

Initially started by my own Travel Diary, then become hobby later. Been update for all the interesting places I've been before. Only until recently, trying to put some effort on it to generate some 'small' money. :)
Thanks.

I like to make a few dollars so I do it with PPP which is the easiest money I have made online. That is basically the only source I use. However I try not to over use the paid posting because I don't want my blog to look like total spam especially to me. I have also met a lot of nice people.

At first i blog for money, I gain PR3 joined PPP and hit by Google. I now moved on and learned i blog for fun, learn new thing, discover new interest and meet nice people.

I placed Adsense and Project Wonderful to at least generate me extra money Why not! but the most priceless reward is when people comment in my blog and bookmark my site.

I started blogging just for attention, but I just learned from Darren Rowse that it's possible to earn from blogging so I decided to blog for money now. But I always make sure that what i blog about is something that I enjoy doing and look forward to get something from which keeps me from throwing my computer out my window due to excessive frustration and pressure. LOL. :)

I am blogging for fun. Well, I am talking about my cats so for me it's also nice to remember their stories when reading them again in the blog.

Blogging and earning money with it would sure be nice, but if that would be my goal I would have stopped already.

I am spending a lot of time for blogging, writing a new post every day, visiting other sites, commenting, droppping cards, etc. Sometimes too much :) But as I do blogging for fun this is more than fine :)

I primarily blog for the enjoyment of it. It's fun to read other blogs and learn about stuff from people from the other side of the world. The earnings I get from ads and reviews is just a plus.

My first intention for blogging is to earn money...but now I really enjoy it as one way of letting out of my feelings..

I have a couple of blogs for fun and another to hopefully generate some adsense revenue. I'm averaging $2 per day, so it's not time to quit my day job yet!

I blog for a mixture of reasons. Fun, advocacy, and simply because I must write.

I accept ads on my site, but they have never made substantial revenue, and I'm not sure that advertising is the right revenue model.

That said, I also blog to advertise myself. I get paid to write for other people and to help them set up websites and their presences online.

Because of this, I typically spend 12 hours a day online. Some of it is researching and writing for my own blog. Some of it is for other projects. The mix varies depending on who is willing to pay me for what project.

wow seems like many people interested on this post. Well, I blog for enjoyment. Besides enjoyment, I would like to earn some money to cover back my hosting and domain fees.
I think the real blogger who just blog for enjoyment doesn't need to promote their own blog.
