The 2008 Formula 1 season will be underway in just over a weeks time, I thought i would publish the calender for the season, I hope we don't have a repeat performance of what happened last year off track. I think we all want good clean racing won on the race track.

I wish I was in Melbourne for the Grand Prix this weekend. I went to the first Melbourne Grand Prix in 1996? (I may be out with the year)It was amazing as I sat watching the race from my corporate box eating finger food and drinking wine. No better way to spend a weekend!

ReplyDeleteAlso I've heard that this is our last Grand Prix to be held here. Heard that it's not making enough profits!! What the.. with all those tourists coming, merchandise, etc..not enough profit?
Yeah, Its hard to imagine Australia without a GP. I know many Kiwis crossing the Tasman to see the F1 and it draws crowds from all over the world. Melbourne is the sporting capital of Australia and it should stay that way. Rumor has that Melbourne will keep the GP if they can provide a night race like Singapore can in September this year, I really hope that the local government in Melbourne will get behind such a huge sporting event.
