To be honest I'm a little let down by the new F2008 Ferrari and MP4-23 of McLaren as the basics look very similar and there is not much change from the previous year, Yes they both look quick and changes are obvious on both but i can't help feel that they are just minor developments of the 2007 cars. I'm aware the McLaren MP4-23 is an Evolution and more aerodynamic changes are coming before the Australian GP, But so has Ferrari, after all, the new F2008 is heavier than the McLaren and more aerodynamic changes are needed, Possibly more of those ugly little winglets that seem to be popping out from everywhere. The front noses on both cars are very low, and with the Ferrari taking the Toyota idea for the nose could be a little sketchy. After all the Toyota wasn't great last year. However i think its good that these cars don't look to be completely new as it means that the gap could be shortened between the top two teams and the likes of BMW, Renault and Williams. I expect the BMW's and the Williams to be totally different and to be honest, I think that all true F1 fans just want good, clean, close racing on the track by several teams, Not just one or two teams. The other thing is, Will McLaren really have any advantage over the other teams now that all teams are using the ECU (electronic control unit) produced by McLaren electronic systems which is a subsidiary of McLaren F1?
